About the Creator — Eli Ligonnet Lam
Eli Ligonnet Lam is a Paris-based artist (b. 1998). They hold a BFA in Theatre and Art Politics from the NYU Tisch School of the Arts and are an alumnus of Shanghai Theatre Academy's Winter Institute. Eli works across poetry, performance, film, theatre, and installation—exploring intimate and universal narratives through the boundaries of language. Every project responds directly to the space welcoming it.
Since 2020, Eli has worked as a performer, theatre director, dramaturg, and screenwriter. Their performance work has been shown at HAU in Berlin, Palais de Tokyo in Paris (in performances by artist Nile Koetting), and Villa Médicis in Rome (in films by artist Madison
Bycroft).
In 2024, Eli initiated 'The End of Innocence’ — a series of readings and installations. It was shown in Paris, Berlin, and New York, culminating in a performance at 3Nǎm Studio in Ho-Chi-Minh City. This project explored compulsive storytelling and launched ongoing research into silence and noise.
In 2025, Eli's first feature film script, ‘Anywhere Anytime’ (co-written with director Helio Pu), was selected for Les Arcs Film Festival's Talent Village and Torino Film Lab 2026.
Eli regularly performs at spoken word open mics in Paris.
